Importance of using Storyboards
In my opinion, using storyboards is very important to the making of an animation. The people who try to make an animated film without using a storyboard are like the people who try to write a book without an outline. It may be possible, but the process will be a lot more frustrating and difficult. A storyboard is an excellent way to outline what will happen in the animation and when, instead of just making it up as you go along. Having a storyboard to follow when you are making an animation will greatly reduce the difficulty of producing the animation. With a storyboard, the plot is already figured out, now you just have to "fill in the blanks" by animating the film.
Story Board animation
So for this assignment I had to create a storyboard based on a script. The animation is on the left (click to view), while the individual scenes and the script are available for download below.
